The role of a degree
A degree is a formal academic qualification with admission, curriculum and assessment requirements. A count of videos does not describe it. Record the awarding university, exact programme, mode and admission session together. Check how the award relates to the qualification required for your intended work or further study.
What does a certificate certify?
Some certificates record attendance; others reflect assignments or examination results. Check the issuer, assessment, expiry and verification process. For a certificate route such as NIELIT CCC, read current registration and exam instructions separately. Opening study material or watching a video is not the same as earning a certificate.
What does an open resource provide?
Open lessons help you explore a subject and begin practising. Access does not make you a student of the source institution. Harvard CS50 materials and Spoken Tutorial samples are learning resources with their own conditions. Read full-access, testing and certification terms separately; a familiar institution’s name does not establish automatic academic credit.
Build a useful combination
You can test interest through a short resource, complete a practice project and then choose formal study if needed. This sequence can make time and money decisions clearer. Describe your learning accurately: self-study, course completion and degree enrolment are different states. Build a small piece of work you can explain instead of only collecting certificates.
Verify through official sources
For Indian online or distance degrees, consult current UGC-DEB records for the institution, programme, mode and session. A receiving institution or employer may have separate conditions for your intended next step. Get official written clarification about fees or admission uncertainties. A CourseKhojo recommendation does not determine eligibility.
